Purpose: To measure
IDs, ODs and other parameters directly by
probes
Description of the gauge: In contact
gauging, because of miniature size of probes
used, they can be directly positioned at the
point of measurement without any additional
linkage. This direct method is more accurate
than the indirect method of using air flow
to measure the size and geometric parameters.
The transducers used are absolutely free from
mechanical friction and hysteresis. This gauge
is costlier than a standard air plug and air
ring gauges but offers much better accuracy.
