Calibration Labrotory:

    Salient Features:

  • 65 Cubic Meters of Controlled environment houses the calibration equipment
  • 20 +/- 1 degree Celsius with extremely low Temperature gradient.
  • Humidity 50 +/- 5 % - To achieve this the environment is humidified and then de-humidified to the correct value.
  • Better than 1,00,000 Class Dust Count (0.0005mm particle size) with online Electrostatic Precipitator with Automatic cleansing.
  • Illumination is maintained 1000 Lux at the point of measurement.

Care taken to ensure the above environmental parameters:

  • Air velocity is maintained at 30 feet per minute to ensure uniformity of temperature. 60% air inlet @ of 12,000 cfm of air with 15% fresh air continuous intake.
  • Extensive insulation against external ingress of heat/cold and humidity
  • Antistatic Flooring, Aprons and anti-flaking paint used to minimise dust.
  • Double glazed glass vacuumised partitions used to prevent heat and sound conduction.
  • Trench all around to avoid surface level high frequency vibrations from the shop floor. Extremely rigid tables with Granite Surface plates used for keeping the Calibration equipment with anti vibration pads to ensure vibration level is maintained with in 0.025mm peak to peak.
  • Most importantly the environment is maintained 24x7, 365 days a year.

Our equipment consists of:

  • Slip Gauge or Gauge Block Calibration Center from Feinmess, Germany with a unique patented handling system for the slips during calibration to avoid even the minutest of scratches.
  • SIP 550M Computer aided Universal Calibration and Measuring Machine with a finest resolution of 0.00001mm and two Carl Zeiss Universal Horizontal Metroscopes for calibration of Masters.
  • Rank Taylor Hobson Talyrond 210 Roundness measuring machine
  • Rank Taylor Hobson Surtronic 4 Plus surface finish analyzer.
  • Sigma high precision electronic outside diameter calibration comparator.
  • DEA make Swift 3 Dimensional Co-ordinate Measuring Machine.
  • Basic standards – Grade K (Koba), 1 & 2 Slip Gauges.
    • Set of Cylindrical masters for 1mm to 450mm inside diameters and 1mm to 500mm external diameter
    • We are maintaining Traceability to National & International Standards as an ongoing exercise with all our standards being periodically calibrated from either DKD – Germany or Metas – Switzerland or from NPL – UK and Delhi.
